Sherlon Garbo Fashions on the Field Best Suited Winner 2022

The Best Suited competition saw every entrant bring individuality and confidence to the stage, with diversity and different interpretations on the theme of the suit. The winner, Sherlon Garbo of the Northern Territory, won over the judges with his impeccably tailored jacket, shirt and tie paired with a skirt that he made himself.

Inspired by actor Brad Pitt’s recent appearance in a skirt, Garbo, a nurse, said he was thrilled that Myer and the VRC had chosen to create the new genderless categories.

“Everyone can wear a suit and everyone can wear skirts. It doesn't matter. It's not only for women. It's not only for men.”

No stranger to Fashions on the Field, Garbo also won in 2020 in the Fashions on Your Front Lawn competition.

The top three in the Best Suited category was rounded out by Grayson Masterson, whose outfit was inspired by matadors, and Marcus Marcuson, resplendent in red velvet.
